Whether you obtain water from a city, municipality or private well in your yard, there are contaminants that enter or that exist at your home that make the water unsafe to drink. To name a few, common contaminants from tap and private well water are chlorine, iron, manganese, hydrogen sulfide, raised acidic levels, arsenic, copper, lead, nitrates, sediments, protozoa, bacteria and viruses.
But how do you know what water treatment system or water filter or water purification system you need?
If you own a private well, Integra Environmental knows the subsurface characteristics in Davie, Southwest Ranches, Parkland, Miramar, Coral Springs and Homestead to design the most appropriate water treatment system. However, if you feel better about knowing what contaminants other than nuisance contaminants in your well, sampling for certain chemical can be performed.
If you have city water served by a public treatment plant, you can get a copy of your water quality report from your local water utility (called a consumer confident report) or if you have a private well, you should consider having your water sampled and analyzed by an environmental laboratory. Integra uses several licensed and reputable laboratories and can provide you assistance if you decide to collect water samples yourself
Once you determine what contaminants are in your water, you can better find the appropriate treatment solution that can address your water quality concerns. There are whole-house systems, to filters for specific areas, to more portable solutions. Some reduce one contaminant while others reduce or eliminate many. Point of Use (POU) water treatment systems treat water in batches delivering water to a single tap, such as kitchen sink faucet. Point of Entry (POE) or whole-house filters are water treatment systems treat the water at the entry of a residence.
Integra Environmental can assess the quality of your water and design an effective water treatment and/or polishing system to meet your needs.
